Case Study: Mixed Reality Content for Social Media
Delivery Certainty When Social Performance Can’t Be CompromisedWhat We Really Sell
This isn’t a case study about creating impressive visuals. It’s about delivery certainty for high-stakes social content when timelines are brutal and performance is non-negotiable.
Social media is unforgiving. Launch windows don’t move. Campaigns go live on schedule. You either deliver on time at quality, or you don’t deliver at all.
That’s where Emotive 3D comes in. We partner with premium brands and agencies to create standout mixed reality content that lands on time, at quality, without drama.
What Is Mixed Reality?
Mixed reality is when CGI is seamlessly added into real filmed footage, so the two worlds blend together perfectly. It’s not green screen. It’s not fully CGI. It’s the perfect marriage of both, creating moments that couldn’t exist in reality but feel completely real.
For social media, it solves a critical problem: how do you create thumb-stopping content that’s impossible to film practically, on timelines that don’t allow for traditional production, at quality that matches premium brand standards?
The answer is mixed reality, executed under pressure by a partner who won’t let you down.

Four High-Stakes Projects:
Same Pressure, Different Constraints
Project 1: Aston Martin F1
“OOO” Summer Break Post

The Problem
Create social content for F1 summer break that drives engagement beyond typical branded posts. AMF1’s audience expects premium quality and hunts for details. Standard content gets ignored.
The Constraint
Standard social content turnaround. Had to be thumb-stopping, had to drive community engagement, had to match AMF1’s premium brand standards. No room for “good enough.”

The Solution
We placed the Aston Martin F1 car on a real tropical beach using mixed reality. Not a studio beach. Not green screen. A real location with real sand, real palm trees and a photorealistic CGI F1 car that looked like it belonged there. We hid subliminal messages throughout the film, knowing the AMF1 community loves to hunt for Easter eggs.
The Outcome
Over 1 million views. AMF1’s highest engaged post of the year at that time. The community went wild hunting for hidden messages, driving comments, shares and extended engagement. The client got performance, not just production.
Why it Worked
We understood the objective (community engagement, not just views). We knew the audience (detail hunters). We delivered on time without compromising on the details that mattered. Mixed reality made the impossible (F1 car on beach during season) feel real.
Project 2: Formidable – Fantastic Four
For Disney and McLaren

The Problem
Create premium mixed reality content to amplify the Fantastic Four movie release across social channels. End clients (Disney and McLaren) have exacting standards. Agency reputation is on the line.
The Constraint
Fast-turnaround social campaign. Had to satisfy both Disney and McLaren stakeholders. Premium execution required, no compromises. Agency needed a partner they could trust to protect their client relationships.

The Solution
We worked as VFX consultants during the on-location shoot overseen by Formidable, ensuring we captured the right footage for seamless integration. We then created a massive CGI stone structure of the Fantastic Four logo with dramatic lighting, making it feel heavy, weathered and real. The structure was fully CGI, but the environment was real filmed footage.
The Outcome
Disney and McLaren were delighted. The post successfully amplified the movie release across social channels. The mixed reality approach created visual impact that pure filming or pure CGI couldn’t achieve alone. Formidable’s reputation was protected, and they got the premium result they needed.
Why It Worked
We collaborated during the shoot (not just in post). We understood what premium stakeholders expect (no surprises, no excuses). We delivered quality that matched the brands involved. The agency trusted us to protect their client relationships, and we did.
Project 3: Arm x Aston Martin F1
Amsterdam Conference Hype Video

The Problem
Create a hype video to engage Arm’s VIP conference audience before presentations began. Content needed to set the tone, build excitement and demonstrate technical excellence. The conference was happening in Amsterdam, the deadline was immovable.
The Constraint
Just 2 weeks from brief to delivery (shoot and complete post-production). Had to feel real driving through real Amsterdam streets. Premium quality expected (this is Arm and AMF1). Fixed conference date meant zero flexibility on deadline.

The Solution
We filmed the real streets of Amsterdam, then created a photorealistic CGI version of the Aston Martin F1 car and integrated it seamlessly. The car weaves through real Amsterdam streets, past real buildings, over real bridges, heading to the real conference location. Lighting, reflections, movement all matched to make the car feel like it was actually there.
The Outcome
The audience was highly engaged before Arm’s VIP speakers even started presenting. The video was talked about throughout the event. It set the tone, built excitement and demonstrated technical excellence before the technical talks began. Delivered on time for the immovable conference date.
Why It Worked
We moved fast without sacrificing quality (2 weeks, shoot to delivery). We understood the stakes (conference date is immovable). We executed calmly under pressure. The client got certainty that it would land on time at quality, and it did.
Project 4: SMG
Stake Branding on London Monuments

The Problem
Create mixed reality branded content for Stake featuring iconic London monuments. Social campaign launch date was fixed. Content needed to be ready.
The Constraint
Just 2 days total turnaround. Stock footage only (we didn’t shoot it, had to work with what existed). Tight deadline, no flexibility. Client needed it fast.

The Solution
We integrated CGI Stake branding onto Tower Bridge, Big Ben, The Shard using stock footage. We matched lighting, perspective and camera movement to footage we didn’t control. We prioritized what mattered most: believable integration and on-time delivery.
The Reality
This was a crazy deadline. We would have liked more time to perfect every detail. But the client needed it fast, and we delivered. The branding integration was solid. The monuments felt real. The content launched on schedule.
The Outcome
Turned around in 2 days under extreme time pressure. Stock footage integration completed despite having no control over source material. Delivered on time for scheduled social launch. Client got what they needed when they needed it.
Why It Worked
We didn’t let the impossible deadline become an excuse. We worked with constraints rather than fighting them. We moved fast without letting quality collapse. Sometimes “good enough, on time” beats “perfect, too late.” We understood that.
Why Speed Under Pressure Is Our Differentiator
Anyone can create premium CGI given unlimited time and budget.
The question is: can you deliver it when the clock is ticking, the stakes are high and failure isn’t an option?
That’s where most suppliers break.
Deadlines slip. Quality suffers. Clients get surprised.
We don’t work that way.
Our track record
• 2 days (SMG/Stake) – extreme pressure, delivered
• 2 weeks (Arm x AMF1) – shoot and post, delivered
• Standard turnarounds (AMF1, Formidable) – premium quality, delivered
• 2.5 million+ views (AMF1) – performance proven
What makes this possible
• Calm execution under pressure (we don’t panic, we prioritise)
• Clear communication (no surprises, no drama)
• Technical discipline (we know what’s possible in the time we have)
• Partnership mindset (we protect your reputation, not just ours)
Speed under pressure isn’t about rushing. It’s about moving decisively, prioritising intelligently and delivering confidently when it matters most.
